Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984 at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. Bea was on the show with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling O'Sullivan, better known by her stage title Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and comedian. After appearing in bit parts in several Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea started her stand-up comic in the year 2011. By 2012 she was regularly being featured on sketch comedy programs and sitcoms. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she has become a fixture. In 2016 and 2017, she was the team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She was in 2012 the second woman to ever win the So You Think You're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling Claiodhnadhs Sullivan was born on the 16th of March, 1984 from Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who took his own life after Bea turned three was an sufferer of self-harm. The news of his death only at thirteen years of age. To honor her dad, she took the stage-name Bea and, in the year 2017, wrote an article about suicides in her family for The Guardian. Bea, along with her younger sister Sinead was raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Her parents were obsessed by horses and racing. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists at Irish National Stud. But she realized her true passion was doing and not racing.
